In February of 2004 I headed, for the first time, to cover the increasing political instability in Haiti. By the end of the month Haitian President Jean Bertrand Aristide had been removed and sent into exile under debatable circumstances. Within two months the UN mission, MINUSTAH, had planted a foothold but peace was tenuous at best. Since then I have continued to explore the small Caribbean nation and those who play a hand in her future.
